Borovets is a modern ski resort located in the Rila mountain. The resort features luxury hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and a good choice of pistes and lifts. Borovets is an Alpine type resort, providing very good conditions for snow sports during the winter: skiing, night-skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon, ski-doo, etc. There are ski runs for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers. The climate in the resort is soft, the winter is mild with plenty of snowfall. The average temperature in January – the coldest month of the year, is about 4,8 ° C. The ski season normally starts in mid December and ends in April.

The resort offers excellent opportunities for winter sports: alpine skiing, snowboarding, ski running, freestyle, freeride and ski touring.

With stunning winter landscapes, bright sunny skies and a total of 24 ski trails, Borovets boasts over 58 km of ski runs in impeccable mountain terrain. The trails are designed for all levels of difficulty and load, equally suitable for beginners, experts and everyone in between.

Borovets has proudly hosted the World Alpine Ski Cup twice and the European Cup eleven times, the most recent one being in February 2014 (slalom and giant slalom for men).

Borovets proves to be a challenging terrain and a favorite among snowboarders, as well. The resort offers various types of complexity and load, as well as two terrain parks – Snow Park Borosport in the upper section of Popangelov trail and Promo Park Borosport in front of the Rila hotel in Central Borovets.

The bustle continues into the evening with night skiing available until 10pm, as well as numerous pubs, cozy taverns, and nightclubs, that can be found in the very heart of the resort.
